Facebook Places plus GPS and BB Maps integration
We recently saw upgrades of Facebook for both iPhone and Android, but now BlackBerry users are also feeling the love, with an improved app (1.9) now available for download.
Not just a tweak in looks, there are new features included. Heading up the list is Facebook Places, which allows friends to see where their buddies are and what they are up to. You can also tag friends, add comments to the place where are checked into and add comments and additional info as your friends move around.
Also included is GPS and BB Maps Integration, which means you can view a map of the location you are checking-in to, see a map of the location where your friends are and also get directions to and from Facebook Places.
On top of that, there's an updated navigation bar, an option to search for people and pages and add them as appropriate, unified search (if you have a BlackBerry 6 device) and the option to view a friends’ profile pictures as well as their Pages from the Friends list page. Of course, all existing features are still there to enjoy.
