LG's 3D tablet - Optimus Pad houses both a 3D camera and screen

LG's first ever tablet device will also be able to play and stream 3D content. Unlike LG's 3D technology seen in their Optimus 3D smartphone their first Android tablet, the LG Optimus Pad will require you to wear a pair of 3D glasses.

Running on Google's purposefully built for tablet platform, Honeycomb Android 3.0 (first seen on the Motorola Xoom), the LG Optimus Pad boasts both a 3D camera and screen. Users will be able to upload video direct to the YouTube 3D channel, as well as transfer content to compatible 3D TVs. Gamers will have a host of 3D titles to choose from the Tegra Zone, with all the action displayed on the vibrant 8.9-inch screen.

Thanks in part to the 1 GHz Dual Core CPU of NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, the LG Optimus Pad can handle multiple apps at any one time, while the fact that it runs on the optimized for tablets, Honeycomb OS, users will enjoy a more PC-like interface making the LG Optimus Pad one of the easiest to use of all the tablets currently available.

The LG Optimus Pad will be available from next month, though at present there's no word on pricing.
