White iPhone 4 officially launches28 April 2011
Grab one from today, from both Apple and the networks
The longest-running mobile saga of...well...ever has now come to an end with news of the white iPhone 4's arrival.
It's available from today, specifically from Apple's own online store. Not quite a year late, but a good 9 or 10 months late, that's for sure. The perils of paint thickness, not a mistake Apple will be making again in a hurry.
'The white iPhone 4 has finally arrived and it’s beautiful', said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. 'We appreciate everyone who has waited patiently while we’ve worked to get every detail right'.
Unfortunately, if you try right now, you'll find the site down. Run out of stock? Not yet live? Crashed? Who knows. But keep trying if you want to go directly with Apple. Other networks will have it too. Vodafone was confirmed as having it earlier this week, but both Three and O2 have also confirmed availability since.
Go with Three on a 24-month deal, starting at £25 per month or you can go pay-as-you-go for £499.99. A £15 top up will get you 300 minutes, 3000 texts and all the data you'll need with that. O2 is offering the white version on the same terms as the black model, starting at £21.50 per month for 24 months, as long as you are willing to pay an upfront cost of £304.99.
