Affordable variation of Galaxy S II hits online store

There has been no official announcement of it, but the Samsung Galaxy Z is currently being offered for sale – in Sweden.

That's right, you'll need to go to Sweden to get what's being described as the 'affordable little brother' of the highly-rated Samsung Galaxy S II. Alternatively, you can order one from the place where it was spotted, the Three online store in Sweden. Or you can simply sit tight and wait. You see, this is almost certainly the Three network in Sweden jumping the gun. We would be blown away if this handset didn't make it to the UK in some form or another soon, not least because the Galaxy brand has some serious sales punch on these shores. An 'affordable' one especially.

According to Pocket-lint, the listing confirms all the key details. So we know it offers Android 2.3 Gingerbread for the operating system, a dual-core 1GHz processor, a 4.2-inch 800x480 resolution Super Clear LCD screen, Bluetooth 3.0, 'Turbo 3G' and Wi-Fi connectivity, along with a five-megapixel camera with an LED flash (and 720p video recording), 8GB of storage and a microSD slot.

Not bad for something allegedly affordable, although that term is probably open to wide interpretation. In Sweden, it means the equivalent of £390 SIM-free.
