Shows the Android 2.3 Gingerbread phone up close and in action

Its official title is the Sony Ericsson Z1, but we all know it as the Playstation Phone and it's just been caught on camera. Video camera, that is.

Sadly, the videos don't tell us a great deal more than we already know. Yes, they show a PlayStation app in action and according to PC World, it also shows the phone running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. There's also mention of an 8-megapixel camera for the first time in the accompanying article, as well as confirmation of a 4-inch screen.

Everything else seems to be 'as you were', which means a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 processor, 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, a long multitouch touchpad in the centre, some PlayStation shoulder buttons and support for microSD cards. That slide-out control panel too, of course.

Check out a shaky video here and a better quality one here. Of course, neither tells us the most important thing - when we actually get to see it on the shelves. That's still likely to be early 2011, although official confirmation is, as yet, unforthcoming.
