Three customers will be able to pay for Nokia apps on monthly phone bill
Nokia has a new buddy in the shape of Three, which now has its own page on Nokia's Ovi Store. Three customers can now hit the Ovi Store to buy apps for their Nokia smartphone, and pay via their monthly phone bill.
The 'Three Likes' page will feature a weekly rotating line up of 40 apps recommended by the network, downloadable for anyone using a Symbian^3 phone – this includes the C7, E7 and N8.
If you're on pay-as-you-go, the price of the app will be deducted from your credit.
As the UK's smallest major network, Three stands to gain by partnering the world's largest phone manufacturer, while the benefit to Nokia is likely to diffuse from Three's savvy social marketing.
This marks partnership number two for Nokia this year – it announced in January it was forming an alliance with Microsoft to exclusively produce handsets running on Windows Phone 7, an innovative and underrated OS that just might make up its numbers by taking over Nokia smartphones.
