Huawei Ideos now available in the UK09 December 2010
Android 2.2 smartphone is sim-free for £149.99
It's not quite reached the £100 price point that was rumoured a while back, but the Huawei Ideos is still an affordable sim-free Android phone.
Ok, it's not a match for the higher-end Androids in either looks of functionality, but it is an Android 2.2 (Froyo) phone for £149.99 sim-free - free if you sign a contract.
According to Unwired View, the handset offers up a 528 MHz processor, a 2.8-inch 240×320 touchscreen, a 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera, HSDPA support, Wi-Fi 802.11n, GPS, and Bluetooth. Further OS updates were promised when the phone was first spotted, but as yet, there are no firm plans for Android Gingerbread.
