APP WATCH: Virgin Media launches PushLife

10 December 2010

First music app works alongside the Virgin Media Music Store

Virgin Media's first-ever app is the market, although PushLife is designed to compliment one of its own products, the Virgin Media Music Store.

According to Pocket Lint, the free app is available for Android and BlackBerry devices, allowing you to sync your music library onto your mobile (including iTunes libraries), play with playlists and share your listening habits through social networks Facebook and Twitter. There are also recommendations on hand, plus artist bios and information.

You can buy tunes from the Virgin Media Music Store directly through the PushLife app and if you’ve already subscribed to a music bundle it will work out how many downloadable tracks you've got left.

Speaking about the app, Jonathan Kini, director of mobile at Virgin Media said: 'We’re thrilled to be the first to bring the PushLife application to our customers. We’ve integrated the app with our existing mobile music store to make it simpler for customers to get the most out of the service and access music through their mobiles wherever they are'.

'Now customers will have complete control over their music, and a great range of handsets to choose from enabling them to enjoy their music collections wherever they are'.
