Vodafone has lowered its upfront prices for an iPhone 4S, set to launch on Friday, October 14.
On 24-month contracts, you can pay £36 a month to get the 16GB iPhone 4S for £99, donwn from £149. It rises to £199 for the 32GB version, and £269 for the new 64GB version. This plan gets you 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data along with 2GB of BT OpenZone Wi-Fi, which is sporadically available out and about.
You can also opt for an 18-month contract, where you can get the iPhone at the same prices with the same texts

Bonus benefits include Data Test Drive, which lets customers use as much data as they want for three months, after which Vodafone will let them know how much they've used, and if they're on the best-suited price plan.
Already got a handset but want the iPhone 4S? Voda's Buy Back service lets you trade your handset in for cash up to £270.
Vodafone said, "We've looked at the offers available to customers and wanted to ensure we remained competitive. Whilst we've seen very good take up across all models of iPhone we want to offer the best value available. We think that this, coupled with Data Test Drive, BuyBack, our collect in store service and our reputation as the UK's best Network, makes us the natural choice for iPhone customers."
Three has already announced its plans, offering a free iPhone 4S with 1GB of data at £41
month (24-month contract), as have T-Mobile and Orange. But if you don't fancy a years-long commitment, you can also grab it SIM-free from the Apple Store - though as of now, it's sold so well, the expected despatch day for new orders is one to two weeks.
