Vodafone offers white BlackBerry Bold 990011 November 2011
Secure one for free for £39 per month
Apple probably got the ball rolling with the white iPhone 4, but now it seems every phone maker seems keen on a white variation of its top-end handsets. RIM is no exception, offering a white BlackBerry Bold 9900 exclusively with Vodafone.
The fact is, limited edition colours sell. People always want to stand out from the crowd and a white Bold 9900 will certainly catch the eye more than a traditional black one, even if it has the potential to get slightly grubbier over the long term.
Feature-wise, it's exactly the same phone as its black counterpart, a phone that got a four-star review off us back in August. That means a 1.2GHz processor, a 2.8-inch touchscreen, a QWERTY keyboard, NFC capabilities, 8GB of internal storage (with microSD to extend further), a 5-megapixel camera with 720p video shooting and of course, BlackBerry 7 for the operating system.
As for the price, £39 a month offers the phone for free, plus 1000 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of internet use, plus 1GB of BT Openzone. If you want the contract a little cheaper, £36 a month offers much the same, but with a data allowance of 500MB and £99 upfront for the phone.
If either of those deals appeal, go see your local Vodafone dealer now.
