Ville will be thinnest HTC phone to date28 November 2011
It's also the first to come with Android Ice Cream Sandwich
The latest news on the HTC Ville handset is that the phone will be the slimmest phone the Taiwanese manufacturer has ever released, at just 8mm.
The brand isn't known for slimline handsets per se, and the Ville will not be quite as slender as the Motorola Razr (7.1mm). That said the recent clutch of HTC phones have been a little thinner with the Titan and Sensation XL both at a lean 9.9mm.
And if being the thinnest HTC handset wasn't enough, the Ville will also be the first HTC phone to run on Android Ice Cream Sandwich straight out of the box, and the first to run on the HTC Sense 4.0 UI.
What we do know in terms of specs is that the Ville will run on a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, and boasts a 4.3-inch qHD SuperAMOLED screen, eight megapixel camera and Beats Audio technology built in.
More details are sure to follow when the phone is officially announced at Mobile World Congress next February. With the year - and HTC stock price - winding down, eyes are firmly on 2012 and HTC look like they're already getting a good head start.
