'Tablet + camera' device could be showcased at CES event
Not long to wait until we find out if this is a legit rumour or not, but evidence does point to Polariod launching an Android tablet at this week's CES event.
Two devices have actually been caught on camera, one being a colour ereader, the other being that tablet, which is the interesting one of the pair. Little is known beyond the fact that it's a tablet of the Android variety, although, as you might expect from Polaroid, the camera is playing a key role.
Indeed, the tablet is said to be pitched as a 'tablet + camera' device, so we're expecting big things from the snapping end of the deal, which will include front and rear cameras, flashes and no doubt some whizzy photography apps on-board too.
Not much is known about the ereader, which is likely to trade off its colour screen. Whether there's any web-based fun in the mix, only time will tell. But as we said, not a lot of time as the CES show kicks off this week. When the official story breaks, we'll be all over it.
