Memory upgrade results in a much faster phone experience

Pantech has announced that it is about to release a new mobile phone based upon the Android operating system. Called the Vega X, the new phone is notable because it will feature a new class of adapted mobile memory called DDR2, usually found in PCs - but a first for any mobile phone (the company is no stranger to 'firsts', remember the 3D interface?) and one that will speed up the operations of the handset by a factor of 1.5, according to the Akihabaranews website

The Pantech Vice President, Lee Eung-joon, was so impressed with his company's new product, he could not help but be bullish in his priase for the Vega X, “When surfing the Internet, searching the <

The Vega X itself will run on Android 2.2 Froyo and will be powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU. Arriving with a 4in screen of WVGA resolution, the phone will include a built in camera of 5-megapixels.
