Want to fiddle with your phone photos? Here's some hot new photo editing apps
If you've mastered your smartphone's camera using our Genius Guide and taken tons of great shots, you might want to play around with them before uploading them to Twitter or Facebook. These apps will let you touch up your photos and add some bizarre effects, for maximum embarassment.

•CamWow (iOS) - Free
This ‘wacky' app basically adds a number of bizarre filters to the front or rear iPhone camera. You can turn yourself or your friends into living cartoons, bulbous-head aliens, or Andy Warhol paintings. With 24 filters to choose from, this'll keep the young ‘uns occupied for hours. However, older users will quickly get bored and there's a lack of useful editing tools.
•PicsArt Photo Studio (Android) - Free
A comprehensive photo editor that packs in loads of excellent tools for messing around with your pics. You can simply tweak the shading and contrast to rescue a shonky snap, or add speech bubbles and cartoon effects for more bizarre creations. Upload to a range of social media sites to embarrass family members.
•Pictures Lab (Windows Phone) - £2.49
The Windows Marketplace is rather bare when it comes to photo apps, but this simple editor allows you to crop your photos, add a border and apply various effects. The simple auto-adjust feature helps to brighten up dim shots, and you can manually tinker with settings, but our pub snaps still appeared grainy. Some cool filters such as the Predator-esque ‘Heat Image' and an impressive ‘Comic' effect are definite highlights.
