Hands-on photos of HTC's quad-core superphone

We just got up close and touchy feely with the flagship phone of HTC's new One family. The One X is a 4.7-inch, quad-core-packing HD machine with a featherlight design and the fastest camera we've seen from HTC. Check out our launch story for a comprehensive rundown of the phone and its One S and One V siblings – or scroll on to see some close up photos of the One X.

The One X is incredibly light for such a large device. It runs Android Ice Cream Sandwich with a new version of HTC Sense 4.0. Note the addition of a shortcut bar, above, but otherwise, the experience seemed as intuitive and charming as ever.

The eight-megapixel camera with the 0.2-second shutter protrudes ever so slightly – but so it should, the phone has a larger aperture than any other mobile camera out at the moment, with a f

2.0 lens allowing for better low light photography. By the way, it is literally faster than the blink of an eye, which clocks in at 0.33 seconds.

It's 9.27mm thin - not thick, not super-slim, but it manages to keep its weight to 130g. This is one of the sleekest designs we´ve seen from HTC in awhile.

Here it is, stacked up with a similarly white iPhone 4S. What do you think? We'll be back with more previews and photos bright and early tomorrow!
