Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 3G heads to UK08 August 2011
Available at Vodafone from 12 August
Just days after launching as a Wi-Fi-only version in the UK, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has been unveiled in 3G form, and is heading to the UK before the month is out.
The official date was 23 August in the UK, but that date looks to have jumped forward a couple of weeks. According to a tip-off to Pocket-lint, the new date is 12 August, with Vodafone selling from that date.
If you want one, you can pre-order now, with the Galaxy Tab 10.1 3G starting at £229 on 24 month contracts, which in turn cost £27 per month. Included in that is 2GB of data as well as 1GB of BT Openzone action. That's in comparison to £399 for a Wi-Fi model without a contract.
Of course, it also gets you that skinny Android Honeycomb tablet, a 10.1-inch device with Android Honeycomb for the OS, along with a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and a 10.1-inch Gorilla glass touch-screen with 800x1280 resolution.
