Social sharing for apps, with new search and account features
BlackBerry has jazzed its App World for BlackBerry smartphones running on v5.0 and above – that’s basically any BlackBerry still being sold.
Apps, games and themes are now divided into categories for easier filtering with new search and option bars for finding apps by name, price, rating, best match or popular. A new My Account area has been added for managing payment and account info.
There’s also a new feature for sharing apps direct from the App World to contacts on BlackBerry Messenger, Facebook, Twitter, email and text. As with Android and Apple app markets, users will now be notified of updates to downloaded apps via push notification.
BlackBerry App World 3.0 is available to upgrade now.
